Timer Question

Timer Question

Postby WKARAM on Sun Jun 29, 2008 8:22 am

How do I set the timer of the D200 body?
Will my old wireless remote from the d70 work with it?
Many thanks,
William

I am not familiar with the D200 or D70. Hopefully, someone here will be able to answer your questions.

Unfortunately the D70 remote will not work with the D200 as they are completely different from each other. As for setting the self timer for the D200, its very simple.

Turn on the camera press the menu button. Go to the Custom Setting Menu ( the pencil ) choose option C "Timers/AE&AF Lock" then choose option c4 "Self Timer". You can then choose setting from 2 seconds through 20 seconds before the camera takes the shot.

Hope this helps.

Hi, can i ask a silly question? (just moved over from Canon to Nikon!)
if i load my pics (not raw) of the camera onto my pc, they arive on the pc as .jpg files. once i retouch them etc. on CAPTURE, they become .NEF files.

How do i get them to become jpg's again?

i know this sounds elementary, please help - all the same!

Thanks

The simplest way to copy the files onto the computer is by using Windows Explorer. Simply highlight all the files, and drag/drop to the folder on the computer where you wish to save them.

I do not use Capture, but if the files are shot as JPG, Capture must be converting them. There must be a setting in Capture for the default file format. Simply change it to JPG.

I use ThumbsPlus for viewing and cataloguing files. It allows creating/renaming folders, renaming files, batch processing, etc. I recommend it.
